What it actually is
In plain terms
Cat eye — sometimes called magnetic gel — is a gel polish loaded with tiny reflective metallic particles. Your technician applies it like any gel colour, but before curing, holds a small magnet just above the wet polish for a few seconds. The magnet pulls the particles upward and lines them up, so instead of an even shimmer across the whole nail, you get a single glowing streak of light that seems to move as your hand catches the light — just like a cat's eye.
It's a finishing design, not a separate nail system: it's applied as the colour layer over whichever base you choose — BIAB, shellac, acrylic or SNS — so you can add it to almost any service on our menu.
